i think BGs are one of the best things that i've learnt in dreamforest, and all this time i spent pathing beautifully drawn BGs (by animation director Jerome) in flash prolly havent gone to waste after all. COS! i've managed to steal a trick of 2!! hoho!
and no i'm not saying i'm very good at it.. just better than before.. AND I'M DANG PROUD OF ME SELF!


oh and btw.. thats how i plan my shot.
and no jerome didnt teach me that hideous drafting practice.

I know this is laineART.blogspot so supposedly its supposed to be an art blog and all.. but heeey you need something different every now and then to spark things up eh!!

so this entry, shall be a special entry.
Just for You. i do hope you like it tho.

Hmm where shall i start? dont we all have the same prob? there're tonnes of thingys that we wanna say but when it comes to the actually typing process, we find ourselves asking.. "hmmmm where to start leh???" but then again.. maybe its just me.

shall i start with the fact that i simply adore you?

your soft brown sleepy eyes that "awwwwwwws" me everytime without fail when you look at me. you've got beautiful eyes that simply smile on their own you know that? and lets not forgot the soft hair that i love running my fingers thru. i love entangling my arm in his, giving him backrubs and touching his soft cheeks =)

and then there's that heart of gold. one that's always willingly blessing people. He is gentle giant, a soft fluffy carebear, meek and patient but at the same time a great friend who's always ready to lend a listening ear. In fact, yes i think you are becoming my best friend. cos i cannot imagine being able to share everything with anyone else(ok maybe except God..but God is not really ANYONE so i guess that doesnt count). He's also my mentor, an advisor or even a brother i nv got to have.

I love how he can be protective and affectionate but at the same time respect my need for personal space. he would send me to dinners and get-togethers with my friends and then give me a kiss on the lips wishing me a wonderful time before leaving. and also for the fact that he is so sociable and easy going, that really makes it extra easy to introduce him to friends and families!

Ohhh did i already mention that i can share everything with him? he's always there, good times and bad, encouraging me to share my thoughts, and rewarding me with sincere appreciation when i do.. i just feel that i can tell him anything and yet dont have to worry if that will make him change his impression towards me. we would be on the phone for hrs.. just talking abt so many things.. sharing our thoughts, our days, our lives, families, friends, everything under the sun with each other.

and then of course no relationship is as smooth as those in movies.. there're times when we disagree with one another, when we're discontent or just being plain grumpy with one another( ok this one mainly me hahaha).. but so far i'm really really happy with the way we deal with its. i really love how we're able to open up and share our frustrations with one another. one thing that i learn from previous relationships and that is the importance of communication. 2 people need to pour out their hearts for them to avoid further miscommunication and then look for a solution together and i think thats wat we're both aiming at. better talk things out then to have one guess wats really going on.

i want to thank you for always being there. always being around continuously pouring out your love and loving me the way i want to be loved. i just want you to know, that i adore every part of you and i really appreciates everything you've done for me, from chauffering me around to sacrificing your bball games with your friends just to spend time with me, to paying attention to me even tho i may not be the most interesting thing around =) to so many so many things that i didnt mention i appreciates them all :) dear i want to give you the love and TLC that you deserve. i want you to feel secure and know that i'm serious about this.. that i'm right here, walking beside you ready to embrace the good and bad times ahead and i'm looking no where else but in your direction. lets make this work together shall we?

Managed to finish another one yesterday tho it's still looking pretty unfinished..

at first was looking at it then was thinking to myself "heeey quite nice leeh! not bad elaine!"and i gave myself a pat on the back.
so i went home, happy and feeling all proud of myself...


i came in this morning. and i take a look at it again..
and i thought to myself..

W.I.P motion graphics piece i did at work for a corporate video..

i think i'm beginning to fall in love with motion graphics.
yup its tedious, time consuming, and really requires quite a bit a thinking and planning..
more so if you're inexperience (like me) . but still.. there's something intriguing abt it.. the process of coming up with a good piece... and not to mention the end results.. and all that really makes all the effort worthwhile..

i thought the sketch of charlie might be a good potential piece to put in my portfolio.. so (feeling pressured for the interview on monday..) i went to fill in the colours and viola!

i would love to continue working on it tho.. it'll be nice to place it on a nice beachy background with the sun glistering on the water like diamonds.. trees dancing to the breeze..purple and orange clouds - oops sorry i got carried away for a moment there..hahahhah hope yoou're picturing it already! but for now kids.. pls let your imagination run freeee and fill in the missing elements into the bg of this piece.. hahahhha..

PINCHABLE BABY!!! now thats a real challange ;) but anyways i'm glad to be given a chance to! with every drawing i learn so many new things its thrilling!

my first roll of coloured slides

most of them didnt turn out so well.. perfect evidence of an inexperience lomo user working on asa100 slides.. hahaha TSK NEWBIE LEH WAT DO YOU EXPECT! tssssssk!

but i'm very surprised how different the colours turned out for different shots.. i've got green, blue, saturated burst of colours and its amazing! its not like just a standard colour for all shots you know wat i mean? The amazing thing abt lomo cameras - each shot is a surprise! ookkk maybe there is a formula to this.. but heck! so exciting! i wanna try it again!

BUT IT REALLY AINT SO BADDD!

the only lacking to complete the look is probably some C-O-N-F-I-D-E-N-C-E!
